Eurojet MK5 Electronic Boost Gauge Kit & Vent Pod - Intro Price = $169 + FREE shipping!

We previously announced that Eurojet’s new line of gauges and gauge pods were coming soon, slightly before Waterfest 15, back in July 2009, but without further adieu, 20squared is proud to announce the release of Eurojet’s brand new Electronic Boost Gauges and vehicle specific Gauge Pods. A full electronic gauge, gives you an opening and closing ceremony, while providing a buzz-free application. This gauge is guaranteed not to whistle, whine, buzz, or rattle. Eurojet designed a gauge that takes the mechanical boost signal from your engine, interpolates the signal inside an electronic junction box, and then sends the electronic signal to your boost gauge; successfully eliminating “buzz”, providing pinpoint accuracy, and allowing precise monitoring of your vehicle’s boost signal.

As if that wasn’t enough, Eurojet has pinpointed the infamous VW “Blue” instrument cluster illumination for a perfect matching solution.

In addition to a full replacement Vent Pod that matched the OEM factory fitment and finish, bringing you that OEM+ type look you’ve always wanted out of a gauge pod!

If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to place an order, please contact us via email (Sales@20squared.com) or phone at 610-757-4649!

We Weren’t Kidding…

We told you we weren’t kidding that we developed an extensive selection of the most elite automotive manufacturers around!  With a strong e-commerce foundation, one of the biggest challenges that 20squared faces is getting products from our manufacturers up onto our website.  Online Retail is quite a bit different than Point of Sale type transactions.  Unfortunately with online sales, we have no personal interaction with the returning or potential customer browsing our website at any given time.  We hear from our customers that they purchased a specific product from another online retailer because they didn’t see it listed on our website.  Despite our messages throughout our site and on the forums we sponsor that we have direct accounts and/or can get a hold of virtually anything out their for your Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Porsche, or other European vehicles.  In addition, we have immense access to other vehicle OEM & aftermarket performance parts and accessories.

As a result of the feedback that we’ve gotten from our customers, as well as our desire to achieve excellence within the Automotive Aftermaket, not only have we put together a quick listing of many of the Brands and Manufacturers that we carry, but will also be hitting the data entry full force over the next 90-days.  Our goal is to have one of the most extensive selections of Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, and Porsche OEM & Aftermarket Performance Parts & Accessories.  In addition, if you don’t have a European vehicle, don’t be suprised if you see a new and exciting venture from 20squared hitting the web soon!  More on that later, though.

Embedded in this posting is list of many of the manufacturers that we are direct wholesale distributors for and brands that we have access to.  Again, we’re working hard to get FULL product offerings from each and every one of the manufacturers that we deal with up on our site, so stay tuned for massive changes and new and exciting ventures here at 20squared!  Of course, the photo list above STILL doesn’t accurate portray everything we have to offer, as our product line-up is constantly being grown and developed!

Top 5 Most Out Of Place Products On a Performance Aftermarket Company’s Site

Over the past few years, we’ve seen some of the most weirdly placed, awkward products listed on a company’s website within this exciting Performance Aftermarket Industry.  We’ve certainly gotten a few laughs about it, so why not pass them along to our customers and readers of our blog!  If anyone has any additions, please leave a comment below with the info!  Here goes nothing…

5. ECS Tuning - 3M Painter’s Tape - $18.95

We all knew the latest trend is to use as much painter’s tape as possible when caravaning to shows with your best buds.  Or to hand craft what you like to think are clever sayings out of painter’s tape running down the side of your car down in Ocean City, MD while attending H20.  But what you don’t know or what you might have found out the hard way is, Police Officers aren’t too fond of, “Show us your Tits!!” taped on the side of your vehicle.  Regardless, hats off to ECS for capitalizing on this opportunity to upsell the materials needed to confirm with the latest trends.  By the way - this stuff really costs $19 a roll?

4. RB Wheels - JGTC TE37 Mag Centerlock Wheel - $500.00

We can thank another ever-so-popular trend to our good friends at RB Wheels.  While they’re absolutely rolling in the moola from all your BBS RS purchases within the last year or so, they’ve also been hard at work “un”-finishing their JGTC TE37 wheel.  No, it doesn’t come with any matching wheels.  Yes, the hideously eccentric color will never be matched or duplicated ever.  Yes, I’m serious that this wheel is listed for decoration only.  Yes, you probably picturing it hanging above your fireplace, adorning your home, while you and your significant other enjoy a romantic evening with your hot chocolate on a cold, wintery night.  No, I won’t buy it for you.

3. AutoAir Colors - Porn Star Pink Paint - $Unknown

When you’re out browsing the interwebs for some your better-then-the-last-guy’s wheel color for your 17″ BBS RS’s on your MK5, check out what AutoAir Colors has to offer.  You could choose Porn Star Pink on top of Rock Star Red.  Seems fitting!  The owners must of had a little too much of Tequila Yellow to drink while they were choosing their color names and woke up with a Nightmare Blue.  Bada Bling….Silver!

2. KaleCoAuto - Adjustable Powerband - $249.95

Before you say it, yes, I know it’s a spoof.  I know, it doesn’t really fit in with the trending topic of this trendy post, but tough s$%t.  I thought it was funny.  Made of high quality titanium injected rubber, KaleCoAuto has what you’re looking for for any stock turbo 1.8T looking for a bit more top-end power.  Just remember, One band is for horsepower, and the other for torque. You may use more than three links per side, but extreme caution should be taken!  DISCLAIMER: 20squared, Inc. is not held liable for bodily injuries, including death that may be a result of this heavy performance modification.  Oh and just incase you were wondering, this voids your warranty, no questions asked.

1. RAI Motorsports - KY Jelly Yours & Mine - $75.95

Nothing says class more then some KY under the Fluids & Lubricants section of your website.  We’ve yet to confirm if there are any special techniques involving the usage of this stuff for getting a few extra ponies out of your Big Turbo 1.8T using this stuff, but your guess is as good as mine.  But hey, at least you can place an order for a GT3076R and some KY to beat your meat to while admiring your new snail that’ll be sitting on your desk in your room at your mom’s house!

PSA: Ebay Bull$*&%

Sometimes I am quite puzzled as to why this topic continually comes up, regarding where products are manufactured, produced, etc.  If you want a full-length header, tubular turbo manifold, or a sidewinder turbo manifold produced there are companies out there that will do it for you, or whomever you feel competent to do the job, the price is going to GOING to be upwards of $2000 for one piece.  Take into account the materials, whether you are having custom stainless steel, mandrel bent tubing bent, are taking off-the-shelf tubing and cutting/welding them to fit your needs, or are using schedule 40 to produce a ramhorn style tubular manifold, the materials are flat out going to cost money.  Then factor in the fabrication labor rates on a product that is going to take a skilled fabricator to fabricate such a piece.  You’re talking 15, 20, 30 hours to produce one piece.  that’s 2, 3, 4 days worth of work on one product.  Let’s compute the low end (say 15 hours) x $100 to $150 per hour, you’re looking at $1500-$2300 in labor alone.  Then factor in the cost of the materials and you’re around the $3000 mark.

Is THAT what the 2.5L market is willing to pay for tubular turbo manifold or a headers for their vehicle?  I can tell you right now the answer is no.  We continually get inquiries as to why the price of the Eurojet Headers are so expensive and now that the OBX headers have been highlighted, we’ve gotten inquiries regarding why Eurojet’s headers are superior and/or why they cost more then the OBX pieces.  Let me try and break it down.

  • It requires a vehicle to do the initial research and development on.  Whether that be a vehicle that is purchased by the company to conduct R&D on or whether you find a lenient customer that is willing to donate their vehicle to perform the R&D on.  If it’s the latter, the customer is going to expect something in return for letting the company use their vehicle.  Either way you work it, there’s an expense that needs to be incorporated into the final price point of the product(s) your developing.
  • It requires that actual physical time that is involved in mocking up an initial prototype off the actual vehicle, checking fitment, checking cross-fitment with different model year vehicles, and account for any potential differences that need to be incorporated into a production run.
  • From there, you’ll have a good idea, if experienced in manufacturing of what the product is going to cost based on the time you have into it, the materials that are needed to accomplish the job, and the resources you have accessible to do the manufacturing.  There are certain area’s where you can modify the manufacturing process to make a more stable product and reduce costs in the long run, for instance, instead of taking off-the-shelf tubing and cutting/welding it to suit your needs, custom mandrel bent tubing can be had.

With all that said, the bottom line comes down to what the consumers within the market you’re producing product(s) for are willing to pay for the product(s).  As I mentioned above, based on some of the feedback that we’ve gotten from the Eurojet pieces, it’s overpriced this, overpriced that.  Everyone is so quick to make sure that the products they are buying are manufactured and produced within the USA, and when they hear through “sally whispering down the lane” that they aren’t, all that is said is that it is garbage.  When in reality there are a few things that are being missed.  Based on actually being dedicated into the industry and developing resources, do you think a company like Eurojet or 20squared is going to come out with a sub-par product that is not manufactured in a location that can guarantee quality control?  The answer is no, and if it becomes a problem, adjustments will be made or the product will be removed from the line-up.  Obviously the goal is to minimize this, as in the years of experience I think this percentage is extremely minimal.

Things so simple as to using a TRUE 5-to-1 collector is completely forgotten about and replaced with the absolute garbage you see being sold out there.

Let it also be known that Eurojet and 20squared are two completely separate companies that work closely with one another to bring out new and innovative products to the market.  Why our company name was brought into a discussion regarding Eurojet -vs- OBX -vs- OBX modified headers is unknown to me, but we were brought in.

What it really comes down to is how the ebay companies have hurt the market.  Consumers have grown accustomed to the low pricing that can be found from ebay manufacturers and products, but the expectations of some haven’t changed accordingly.  If you want a cheap product in price, you’re going to get a cheap product in quality.  This is the case with virtually anything you buy out there.  If you want something that is hand-made by a fabricator in a shop here in the US, we’ll do it and there are plenty of other that will do it, and love doing it  But, it’s going to be within the price range explained above.
