Ondrej’s Bagged MKV GTI

If you hadn’t noticed by now, I picked up a Canon 5D a few days ago. It was absolutely gorgeous out yesterday and I really, really wanted to shoot something with the new camera so I asked a bunch of friends and it turned out a buddy of mine had a friend who wanted someone to shoot his car. After some messages back and forth we finally decided on a time and location.

After meeting at an awesome spot I found in Edgewater, we got right to work.I spoke to Ondrej about his car and he told me that it was recently out of the body shop after a bad accident and while there, he had some work done. The rear fenders are pulled professionally and the badgeless grill was installed with the hood notch being filled. Ondrej told me that he finished his air suspension system just in time for H2Oi last year and is loving every minute of it. He is running Airlift XL’s up front with AirHouse 2 bags in the rear (w/ S10 cups) and FK shocks. Unlike most MK5′s the installer used 1/4″ lines on Ondrej’s car so the airing up and down is a bit slower, but very smooth. The car is using the digital Easystreet management, which I have in my car as well. The trunk setup is super clean and he was even able to keep his spare tire, which most people ditch to make some more room for the air suspension components. The car looks absolutely killer in person and I am really glad I got to shoot it yesterday.

Ondrej is trying to sell these wheels to pick up and refinish something before this show season starts so look out for his car this show season (if you follow the Volkswagen scene) because it should be one to turn heads! Chris Rousseau’s Audi A4

Gray B7 A4 Front Mercedes WheelMy latest internship required me to relocate to Connecticut for the summer. Not wanting to do the commute from NJ every day I ended up finding a place in Darien, CT to live while working. I knew a bunch of VW guys in Connecticut and they told me to come out to the CT Eurospec meets on Friday nights. I headed up there this past Friday to hang out with them and they are some really cool people.

I really wanted to shoot a car while I was there since I had all my gear and my off-camera lighting and Chris was MORE than happy to let me shoot his Gray B7 A4. The car is absolutely stunning and super clean. Even though there are few modifications it still turns heads when parked or rolling. Be on the lookout for Chris at tons of shows this season.

Dimitri’s Flash Red MK4

Head on Shot (Bokeh Background)My buddy Dimitri is back with a bang for the 2010 show season. At the end of last season he knew that he wanted to make some changes to his car and he definitely did over the winter (off-season). He decided to swap out the boser hood for a black badgeless grill, had the entire trunk shaved (emblem and handle) AND had the drivers side and bumper resprayed with the rare flash red color. He also decided to change up his CH’s for RG-2′s with full polished lips for this season. The car looks absolutely stunning in person and I know he is definitely satisfied with the outcome. So check it out at all the shows this year and let him know how much you love it.

Spring Show and Go 2010

Shawn's Epic Engine BaySpring Show and Go is one of the kickoff shows for the VW/Audi season in the northeast. I always love getting out because there are TONS of nice cars and great people. Its also conveniently close (located in Englishtown, NJ) so that also makes the show an easy choice to attend. It was really hot out so I didn’t get a lot of photography done at the event, but check out some of my favorite shots below.
