Summary: Good Trim keeps your boat maintenance records on your iPhone. We do not operate an account or data server, and we do not collect your maintenance data. Purchases and restores use Apple's App Store. Files leave the app only when you choose to export or share them.

Information We Collect

None. Good Trim does not require an account and does not collect your name, contact information, boat records, meter readings, service history, photos, or documents. We do not receive your backups or exports.

Your Maintenance Records

Vessels, equipment, schedules, meter readings, service entries, and attachments are stored locally in the app's space on your iPhone. Good Trim has no developer-operated backend or CloudKit sync. The app's records are available offline.

You can create a complete backup, restore one, or export linked CSV files. Boat Pro can also create PDF maintenance reports. When you use the iOS share sheet or Files picker, you choose where a file goes or which file to import. The destination you choose, such as iCloud Drive or another file provider, handles that copy under its own terms. Good Trim does not send it to us.

Photos, Camera, and Reminders

Good Trim accesses a photo or document only when you choose to attach it. It asks for camera access only when you choose to take a photo. Attachments are copied into the app's local storage.

Reminders are optional local iPhone notifications. Good Trim asks for notification permission when you enable reminders, not when you first open the app. Denying permission does not affect your maintenance record or the due list inside the app.

Purchases

Boat Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. Product lookup, purchase, and Restore Purchase communicate with Apple's App Store services. Apple tells the app whether the unlock is active; we do not receive your payment card or billing details. Apple's handling of purchase information is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Good Trim has no analytics SDK, crash-reporting service, advertising SDK, telemetry, or tracking. We do not sell or share your information for advertising.

Deleting Data

You can delete individual records in the app. Deleting a vessel also removes its equipment, schedules, service history, and attached files, after a confirmation. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data from that iPhone. Backup files you saved elsewhere remain wherever you chose to keep them, and you control those copies.

Children

Good Trim is not directed at children and does not collect information from anyone, including children.
